This is my beloved 1993, 40th Anniversary
Edition Corvette. Driving with the top off and
stereo system blasting has been one of my
favorite past times. It is extremely fast,
gorgeous, has power everything including leather
seats, an awesome CD/tape Bose stereo system and
a fully removable top that fits in the back for
travel. I am only selling it because my wife
"convinced" me it is time to move onto a family
car. It has 75,000 miles and passed Pennsylvania
State Inspection in May 2011. I bought it in
1996 and am the second owner. The car was
upgraded with a new Corsa exhaust system several
years ago. If you find a car this age with a
stock system, you will probably have to spend
another $1,500 for a replacement soon. Please
compare 40th Anniversary dealership prices on
AutoTrader.com. There is an identical car priced
at $14,999. There are convertible versions for
$23,295 and $25,500. I am offering at the great
value of $8,700 due to issues listed below and
because I want to end the agony of selling as
quickly as possible. The car has been in a few
accidents but there was never damage done to the
engine. Notice how immaculate the engine is in
the photos. Damage was primarily to the hood and
front fenders. The photos show it was properly
restored. All the panels fit very tightly. I get
complements about how gorgeous this car is every
time I take it out. Recently, there was some
curb damage done to the front right fender which
is pictured. There are two major issues. The
HVAC system needs a new air condenser. There is
also a problem with the courtesy lights wherein
they sporadically take 5-15 minutes to shut off.
A Chevy dealer once fixed the problem by
repairing a short in the driver side door. The
problem went away for a number of years but has
resurfaced over the last two. If you love
classic Corvettes, or have never had the
Corvette experience, do yourself a favor and go
for it. Just remember to bring your sunglasses
for when the top is down!
